Chat Overview

Chat is used for workflow communication, especially Order Adjustment communication.

It is not intended to replace full messaging apps such as WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger. It exists to keep Image Edits communication tied to the relevant order or adjustment so the team can track the work more clearly.

Current functionality

  • Group chat — multiple users can participate when they have access to the workflow, such as Image Edits team members, Client users with order access, and relevant Editor/QC users.
  • Attachments — files can be attached to a chat. Once processing is complete, attached content can be shown in the conversation.
  • Notifications — the Dashboard App can notify you when a new message is added.

Planned improvements

Future chat improvements may include:

  • mentions
  • replies
  • image gallery previews
  • a broader chat list overview
  • typing indicators
